This painting was painted by Georges-Pierre Seurat in 1884 in the island of la grande Jatte, near the Sena river, in Paris, France.
This painting shows a sunny Sunday and lot of people around the river with some pets, like dogs or squirrels, that are having a good time. Some people goes with sun umbrellas because to not be swarthy. In the Sena river, there are some ships and around the river there is a lot of vegetation and trees, that makes a place very relaxing.
